Salary: USD 150,000 - 190,000 / annual
HeyGen is seeking an IT Systems & Operations Owner to join their team in the San Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles. This is a high-ownership role where you will own the company's IT infrastructure, security footprint, and physical workspace operations, serving as the primary point of contact for all IT matters.
You will balance immediate tactical support with long-term strategic initiatives. As the company scales, you will eventually manage external contractors while maintaining focus on architecture, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
Security & Endpoint Management: Implement and oversee Data Loss Prevention (DLP) frameworks to protect company and customer data. Manage Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tooling to monitor, detect, and mitigate workforce security threats. Execute technology onboarding and offboarding with strict access control, ensuring zero-lag access revocation during departures.
Tooling, Licensing & Next-Gen IT: Provision, manage, and audit user access across the corporate software stack. Manage deployment and compliance of AI employees and automated workflows integrated into the business. Act as a financial steward by auditing license utilization and identifying software spend optimization opportunities.
Office Operations & Engineering Collaboration: Maintain physical office IT hardware, equipment, and conference room media setups in Bay Area hubs. Provide strategic support for employee onboarding infrastructure and guide teammates on environment setup. Partner with core engineering teams to test and deploy custom internal IT automation tools.
You will work in a dynamic, fast-scaling tech environment focused on making visual storytelling accessible through AI-powered video creation technology.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in IT operations, systems administration, or similar high-ownership IT role, preferably within a fast-scaling tech startup
- Proven experience configuring and managing EDR systems and implementing DLP policies
- Experience acting as a primary point of contact for vendors with demonstrated ability to manage external contractors or support teams
- Based in San Francisco Bay Area or LA with ability to work regularly from the office to manage hardware and conference room infrastructure
- Bias for action with obsessive focus on unblocking users quickly and ensuring seamless internal user experience
- Automation mindset—looking at every manual process and asking how to make it self-serve
- Resourcefulness in leveraging internal software engineers to build solutions while independently managing vendors and contractors
