Salary: USD 174,500 - 240,000 / annual
Faire is a technology wholesale platform connecting independent retailers globally with suppliers. The Client Platform Engineering team is responsible for the lifecycle and security of corporate endpoints across macOS, Windows, Chrome OS, iOS, and Android platforms.
In this role, you will design, build, and maintain automations across Faire's endpoint management tech stack, owning patching, OS upgrade campaigns, and application packaging/deployment. You'll work cross-functionally with partner teams to deliver the best endpoint experience for employees while serving as an escalation liaison for the IT Operations team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and maintaining endpoint management automations and configurations
- Managing large-scale patching and OS upgrade campaigns
- Implementing and maintaining device trust and endpoint detection and response (EDR) best practices
- Defining security posture and mobile device management (MDM) controls for AI tools and agents
- Evaluating and rolling out AI-powered IT tooling and using AI-assisted automation for scripting, configuration management, and troubleshooting
- Providing technical mentorship to junior team members and serving as escalation support
- Documenting and communicating procedures and best practices across the IT team
You'll need 5+ years managing large distributed fleets of macOS and Windows devices, hands-on experience with enterprise MDM solutions (Workspace ONE, Jamf, Fleet), and proficiency in shell scripting and languages like Python, Ruby, or Golang. Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack), Zero Trust architecture, and AI coding assistants is required. Security, compliance, and privacy expertise is essential, particularly around AI tools on managed endpoints.
