Volta is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform building compute utilities at scale, backed by a $10B strategic partnership, Series A from Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund. The company operates across London, Palo Alto, and New York with rapid growth to hundreds of employees. As IT Analyst, you are the first point of contact for IT operations at Volta, owning day-to-day support and infrastructure that enables the business and technical teams to work effectively. This is a hands-on role with real ownership from day one. You will own the IT support queue as first line, triaging and resolving requests across account access, software installs, licensing, hardware faults, and connectivity issues on Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms. You'll support meeting room and AV equipment, ensuring video conferencing reliability. You manage user communication throughout request resolution, recognizing that transparency reduces frustration more than speed alone. You execute joiner, mover, and leaver processes end-to-end using JumpCloud and Microsoft 365: account creation, group and license assignment, device shipment, and access removal. You run new starter IT induction sessions, prepare devices for day-one readiness, and confirm offboarding completion including device return and access revocation across integrated systems. You maintain the asset inventory as the authoritative record of company hardware, managing procurement, configuration, warranty coordination, stock levels, and decommissioning. You monitor device enrollment, patch status, and compliance in JumpCloud, following up on non-compliant endpoints. You perform day-to-day administration across JumpCloud, Microsoft 365, Slack, and Atlassian: user and group changes, license assignment, permissions, and routine configuration. You support access reviews and apply changes following least-privilege principles, flagging requests that don't fit policy. You write and maintain end-user guides and internal runbooks to enable self-service and repeatable processes. You keep control evidence current for access changes, asset records, and onboarding/offboarding completion. You identify repetitive work and propose automation or process improvements. You support office IT infrastructure day-to-day: WiFi, wired networking, printers, and physical access systems, escalating configuration changes to the Systems Administrator. You serve as the on-site IT presence and local contact for external vendors. You bring 1–3 years in IT support, service desk, or comparable IT operations. You have hands-on Microsoft 365 experience from admin or support perspective, practical device support across Windows and macOS with MDM enrollment experience, and exposure to identity administration in JumpCloud, Okta, or Entra ID. You have solid networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, WiFi) and clear written communication with strong documentation habits. You balance helpfulness with the ability to hold security and process lines. Nice-to-have skills include PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting; Linux command-line familiarity; Atlassian or Jira Service Management experience; ISO 27001 or SOC 2 awareness; and multi-timezone or multi-office support experience.
