FIS is seeking an experienced iSeries Systems Administrator to maintain and support critical server infrastructure powering financial services operations. You will be responsible for managing iSeries/Power8/Power9/Power10 systems, deploying new technologies, and ensuring optimal system performance and security.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting messaging services and maintaining secure environments
- Monitoring system usage, performance, and troubleshooting issues
- Proposing and implementing system enhancements
- Assisting with hardware and software upgrades and repairs
- Managing OS upgrades and third-party software upgrades in replication environments using MIMIX and ITERA
- Overseeing storage management, TCP/IP, and network monitoring
Required qualifications:
- Knowledge of multiple iSeries operating systems (Power8, Power9, Power10) and related utilities/hardware
- Experience with OS upgrades and third-party software upgrades in replication environments using MIMIX and ITERA
- Proficiency with storage management, TCP/IP, and network monitoring tools
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Desired qualifications:
- IBMi performance analysis experience for CPU and DASD troubleshooting
- Strong BRMS (Advanced BRMS NETWORK) knowledge and external tape media library configuration
- Experience with HELPSYSTEM products (ROBOT NETWORK, ROBOT CONSOLE, ROBOT SPACE, ROBOT ALERT)
