Range is an AI-powered wealth management platform backed by Google's Gradient Ventures, Cathay Innovations, and Scale Venture Partners. The company is transforming financial services by offering an integrated platform that handles investments, taxes, retirement planning, and estate management in one intuitive system. As an Investment Operations Specialist, you will own the full operational lifecycle of member investment accounts—from application submission through funding, investing, ongoing rebalancing, and all fund movements. You will independently run all four core functions: Trading, Transfers, Account Lifecycle, and Investment Experience. A key part of this role is training Associates on these functions, with career progression measured by how many functions you can teach, how independently you operate, and the automation and process improvements you ship. You will report to the Head of Investment Operations on a small team where individual contributions are highly visible. You'll work directly with members and Certified Financial Planners, giving you insight into where processes break. At this level, you're expected to own fixes within your approval limits—from proposal through execution—rather than simply escalating issues. Key responsibilities include: running the trading process end-to-end with approval authority; ensuring member funds move accurately and on time while independently resolving transfer issues; guiding accounts from approval to fully invested status; serving as a licensed point of contact for members; owning at least one shipped automation or process improvement; and partnering with CFPs and the investments team. You'll need 4-6+ years in investment operations, brokerage operations, or comparable financial services roles. Deep familiarity with custodial/clearing platforms and brokerage workflows is essential. You must demonstrate a track record of running operations independently, explaining processes clearly, sound judgment on escalation, and a bias toward shipping improvements. Series 7, 63, or 65/66 licensing is required; FinTech, RIA, or broker-dealer experience is a plus. Range offers comprehensive benefits including 100% employer-covered medical insurance, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, covered meals, fitness stipends, early equity exercise eligibility, and access to cutting-edge AI tools. The company also features a Boomerang Program allowing employees to take time to start their own company after two years, with their spot held and equity vesting paused.
