Range is an AI-powered wealth management platform backed by Google's Gradient Ventures, Cathay Innovations, and Scale Venture Partners. The company is building an integrated financial services platform that handles investments, taxes, retirement planning, and estate management.
As an Investment Operations Associate, you will own pieces of the member investment lifecycle end-to-end, including onboarding, funding, trading, and ongoing account management. You'll work across four core functions: Trading, Transfers, Account Lifecycle, and Investment Experience. The role is deliberately broad—you'll build competence across all functions, progressing from Associate to Specialist to Lead as you demonstrate the ability to run functions independently and mentor others.
Key responsibilities include supporting the trading process from suitability reviews through daily rebalancing checks; ensuring member funds move accurately and on time while resolving transfer issues; guiding accounts from approval through full investment; serving as a direct point of contact for member questions; partnering with Certified Financial Planners and the investments team; and identifying operational friction to propose improvements as Range scales.
You'll report to the Head of Investment Operations on a small team where individual contributions are highly visible. You'll sit close to members and CFPs, giving you direct insight into process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. The role is based in New York City (preferred) or McLean, VA headquarters, with a Monday-Friday in-office schedule.
Ideal candidates have 1-3 years of investment operations, brokerage operations, or comparable financial services experience. Familiarity with custodial or clearing platforms and core brokerage workflows is important. You should have sharp attention to detail, comfort working against daily deadlines in an accuracy-first environment, and a bias toward improving work rather than just completing it. Series 7, 63, or 65/66 licenses are preferred; FinTech, RIA, or broker-dealer experience is a plus.
