Affirm is seeking an experienced Internal Events Manager to lead the design, consulting, and governance of the Internal Events function within the Places & Experiences team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Internal Events, you will be responsible for building and scaling Affirm's event design and execution practice, helping teams across the company create intentional, high-impact experiences that strengthen connection, collaboration, learning, and culture in a remote-first environment.
You will transform Internal Events from a primarily execution-focused function into a proactive strategic partner, establishing frameworks, standards, and best practices that guide how teams gather across Affirm. Key responsibilities include owning event design strategy and consulting models, partnering with business leaders to translate gathering objectives into intentional event formats, developing scalable event frameworks and planning methodologies, and establishing governance for department offsites, leadership gatherings, onboarding programs, training events, and company-wide experiences.
You will drive consistency in event quality and attendee experience through structured planning processes, serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on event strategy and experience architecture, identify opportunities to improve how teams gather through innovative formats and industry best practices, and establish key performance metrics related to event effectiveness and program impact. You will build and manage a portfolio view of Internal Events, partner closely with the Internal Events logistics team to ensure seamless execution, and lead and develop a team of Event Leads.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in event management, experience design, organizational development, consulting, or hospitality, with 2+ years of people management experience. You should have demonstrated ability to design and lead complex events, offsites, and large-scale employee experiences, with strong consulting and stakeholder management skills. You will balance employee experience, operational feasibility, and budget stewardship, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and operate effectively in ambiguity while building structure and processes in a growing organization.
