As Insurance Operations Associate, you will be a versatile "Swiss Army knife" for INSHUR's Dutch and European operations. You will report directly to the Dutch Director of Insurance Operations and be part of a small, high-impact team. The role begins with first-line support for intermediaries and direct customers, transitioning as support volume decreases toward the end of the year into a strategic operational pivot function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Product Launches: Contribute to developing and rolling out new commercial insurance products and executing impactful product and premium adjustments.
- Compliance Support: Manage complaint registration and handling within Dutch regulatory frameworks.
- Strategic Partnerships: Create presentations and contribute to efficient meetings with partners and insurers.
- First-Line Support (temporary): Provide pragmatic, solution-oriented support to intermediaries and customers.
- Daily Flexibility: Seamlessly switch between answering partner emails, assisting the marketing team, and preparing data for upcoming audits.
This is a 100% remote role based in the Netherlands with regular opportunities to travel to the Brighton office (UK) for team building and social events.
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
- Fluent Dutch and English; daily communication with Dutch partners and UK-based team
- Basic insurance knowledge: understanding of policy structure (terms, exclusions, policy sheets) and the difference between insurance brokers and intermediaries
- Proactive and independent: takes initiative without waiting for instructions
- AI affinity: understands how AI can make a difference in daily work and enjoys experimenting and building with it
- Adaptability: thrives in a scale-up environment where priorities and tasks change rapidly
Nice to have:
- Insurtech or tech platform experience; understanding how technology differentiates from traditional insurers
- Excel proficiency: comfortable working with tracking documents, datasets, and registers
