Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize warehouse and manufacturing operations across its global supply chain. The role focuses on improving material flow, inventory processes, and production line efficiency while maintaining stringent quality standards and meeting critical military deployment timelines.
Key responsibilities include identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks in inventory management, line layouts, parts shortages, and staffing constraints. You will own production metrics and KPIs such as cycle time, throughput rate, capacity utilization, and inventory accuracy. The role requires conducting time studies on warehouse and manufacturing processes, developing workplans for variable demand across multiple sites, and implementing data-driven improvements using techniques like Value Stream Mapping and Line Balancing.
You will collaborate extensively with Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations teams to translate analytical insights into actionable improvements. The position emphasizes rapid iteration and incremental improvements deployed to the floor quickly, with a focus on scaling solutions from development through full-rate production.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3+ years of experience in high-rate supply chain or manufacturing environments building complex mechanical and electrical assemblies. You must be able to read technical documentation, understand hardware manufacturing processes for electronics and structures, and be willing to travel up to 25% and relocate to Costa Mesa if not already local. The ideal candidate demonstrates holistic ownership of operational challenges, thrives in fast-paced resource-limited environments, and combines technical rigor with creative problem-solving.
