Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize supply chain warehousing and material flow operations. You will work with a global network of suppliers supporting advanced defense systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system for military command and control.
In this role, you will own end-to-end responsibility for optimizing warehouse and material flow operations across multiple manufacturing sites, balancing quality, reliability, speed, and asset utilization while meeting critical customer deployment and internal development timelines. You will collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations teams to solve operational challenges in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
Key responsibilities include: identifying and resolving bottlenecks in inventory processes, line layouts, parts shortages, and staffing constraints; owning production line health metrics (cycle time, throughput, capacity, utilization, process non-conformities, inventory accuracy); conducting time studies on warehouse and operations processes; developing processes to optimize workplans for variable demands across multiple sites; using data-driven approaches such as Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, and Line Balancing; and translating tools and reports into actionable tasks that drive incremental improvements.
Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering; 3+ years in high-rate supply chain or manufacturing environments with complex mechanical/electrical assemblies and heavy data utilization; ability to read technical documentation (drawings, CAD); understanding of hardware manufacturing processes for electronics, structures, and electromechanical systems; willingness to travel up to 25%; ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA.
Preferred: Experience with Siemens Plant Simulation, Visual Components, or process simulation software; factory/department design and setup; complete value chain ownership with measurable business improvements; cross-functional presentation skills; Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); NetSuite, Oracle, or similar ERP systems; Lean Manufacturing implementation; hands-on project delivery with gemba walks and operational analysis; SQL database experience for production and inventory metrics.
