BETA Technologies is revolutionizing electric aviation through sustainable aircraft manufacturing. As an Industrial Engineer, you will optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and ensure quality standards in the production of electric aircraft.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing workflows to reduce waste and maintain quality
- Develop systems to monitor and control production workflows aligned with project goals and timelines
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and quality assurance teams to refine production methods
- Create detailed documentation including process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and implement productivity solutions
- Develop and track KPIs to monitor production performance and drive continuous improvement
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and equipment for efficient manufacturing
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards
- Implement lean principles, flow balance, and theory of constraints
- Build data-driven models for future production scenarios to support strategic and capital planning
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or electric vehicle industries
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools
- Experience with CAD software and manufacturing execution systems (MES)
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices
Desirable qualifications include advanced certifications (Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Expert), experience with automation and robotics, expertise in sustainability and lifecycle analysis, familiarity with ERP systems and data visualization tools, and proven track record in aerospace manufacturing process improvements.
