Saronic Technologies is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing and operational processes for autonomous surface vessels. You will apply lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data analytics to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure cost-effective, safe, and sustainable operations.
Key responsibilities include analyzing and optimizing material flow across manufacturing processes, implementing lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve cycle times, conducting data analysis to guide process improvements, and developing production workflows that efficiently utilize materials, components, and labor. You will support the development of performance metrics and KPIs to track production efficiency, collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, operations) to optimize new products for manufacturability, identify and address production bottlenecks and quality issues, assist in capacity planning and resource allocation, and provide guidance on lean, Six Sigma, and data analytics techniques to team members.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, at least 3 years of industrial engineering experience with strong background in material flow, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data analytics, proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar statistical software), strong understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow optimization, and experience implementing process improvement methodologies. Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is preferred. You should have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, and familiarity with production environments, preferably in high-tech, defense, or maritime industries.
