Valar Atomics is building scalable, advanced nuclear power systems to unlock clean, high-temperature energy for industrial applications, hydrogen production, and next-generation manufacturing. The company is developing factory-made nuclear systems with a pilot plant in Orangeville, Utah. As Indirect Sourcing Manager, you will lead the indirect procurement strategy across multiple spend categories including CAPEX, IT, professional services, and other operational expenses. You'll report to the Manufacturing/Supply Chain organization and own the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for non-direct materials and services. Key responsibilities include: - Building and executing indirect sourcing strategy across diverse categories to support rapid company growth - Driving total cost of ownership reduction through market analysis, should-cost modeling, RFx processes, and supplier negotiations - Developing supplier agreements and strategic partnerships that ensure compliance and protect functional relationships - Leading cross-functional supplier selection and contract negotiations - Designing sourcing policies and procedures that maximize efficiency and scalability - Implementing cost modeling to identify high-impact savings opportunities - Presenting sourcing strategy and results to executive leadership - Building and maintaining strong partnerships with indirect suppliers and service providers - Tracking market trends and integrating new data into sourcing strategy - Proactively identifying, monitoring, and mitigating supplier and contract risks - Managing contract renewals, SLAs, and vendor performance across the indirect supply base You'll work in a fast-growth, highly regulated environment alongside experienced operators, engineers, and industry leaders.
