Salary: USD 90,000 - 110,000 / annual
Infleqtion is a global quantum technology company developing quantum computers, sensors, and networks to solve complex problems. The Indirect Buyer Level 2 is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services that support daily business operations, including facilities, maintenance, IT, equipment, and professional services.
Key responsibilities include managing competitive sourcing processes, selecting suppliers, conducting negotiations, issuing purchase orders, and following up on deliveries to ensure timely service and cost-effective purchasing. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, Finance, and Contracts teams while adhering to company purchasing policies and Government contracting requirements. You will maintain accurate procurement documentation, support appropriate cost classification, and ensure audit readiness.
This position involves managing inventory and property in accordance with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) requirements, including Government-furnished property (GFP) and contractor-acquired property. You will lead physical inventories, cycle counts, and reconciliations, performing root-cause analysis on discrepancies and implementing corrective actions. The role requires establishing and maintaining robust inventory controls to protect materials from loss, damage, theft, and misidentification.
You will oversee receiving, inspection coordination, put-away, material handling, picking, kitting, staging, shipping, and returns processes. Experience with inventory traceability practices (lot, serial, batch, part-number, and revision control) is essential. Proficiency with ERP systems, warehouse-management software, inventory-control systems, barcode/RFID technology, and Microsoft Excel is required.
The role includes supervisory responsibilities for warehouse personnel, setting work priorities, developing procedures, and tracking productivity, accuracy, and on-time delivery performance. You must demonstrate knowledge of safe material handling, storage, packaging, shipping, hazardous-material practices, and security protocols appropriate to the facility and products.
Success requires sound judgment, strong supplier relationships, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to balance operational needs, cost, quality, and compliance. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential when working with procurement, quality, engineering, manufacturing, program management, finance, and Government/customer representatives.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, business, or related field; equivalent relevant experience considered
- 5+ years of warehouse, inventory-control, materials-management, or logistics experience, including supervisory or management responsibility
- Experience supporting Government or defense contracts and managing Government-furnished property (GFP) and/or contractor-acquired property in accordance with FAR requirements
- Demonstrated experience maintaining accurate, complete, and auditable inventory and property records (receipt, issue, transfer, location, quantity, condition, disposition, contract accountability)
- Experience leading physical inventories, cycle counts, reconciliation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for inventory discrepancies
- Ability to establish and maintain inventory controls protecting material from loss, damage, deterioration, theft, misidentification, and unauthorized use
- Experience with receiving, inspection coordination, put-away, material handling, picking, kitting, staging, shipping, and returns processes
- Working knowledge of inventory traceability practices (lot, serial, batch, part-number, revision/configuration control)
- Proficiency with ERP, warehouse-management, inventory-control, barcode/RFID, and Microsoft Excel systems
- Experience supervising warehouse personnel, setting priorities, developing procedures, tracking productivity and on-time delivery
- Knowledge of safe material-handling, storage, packaging, shipping, hazardous-material, and security practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across procurement, quality, engineering, manufacturing, program management, finance, and Government/customer representatives
**Preferred qualifications:**
- Experience preparing for or supporting property-management-system audits, DCMA reviews, internal audits, or Government property administration
- Familiarity with Government property reporting, discrepancy reporting, loss/damage investigations, corrective actions, and contract closeout/disposition
- Experience handling controlled, sensitive, high-value, serialized, export-controlled, or mission-critical material
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CLTD) or related credentials in warehouse, logistics, or supply-chain management
- Experience leading warehouse layout, process-improvement, lean, 5S, or automation initiatives
- Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, manufacturing, or R&D regulated environments
