Maybern is building an agentic operating system for private fund management, serving the $15T private fund industry. The company is Series B-backed and NYC-based, founded by top engineering experts with deep fund management expertise. As Implementation Manager, you'll be a founding member of Maybern's Implementation team, serving as a chief architect of the product and bridge between clients and the engineering/product teams. You'll translate private equity domain knowledge into software requirements and drive client success. Key responsibilities: - Build and strengthen relationships with fund manager clients, including CFOs and Controllers - Plan onboarding and rollout processes for new clients - Analyze private equity client needs and requirements to inform product roadmap prioritization - Work with product managers and engineers to develop solutions for complex fund and investment structures - Evaluate product enhancements and identify fixes based on client feedback - Serve as a domain expert translating fund accounting practices into business logic You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in private equity fund accounting, ideally with hands-on experience at a PE firm. An undergraduate degree in accounting or finance is required; CPA accreditation is a plus. You'll need strong Excel proficiency, familiarity with fund accounting systems (Yardi, Investran, etc.), and deep knowledge of investment structures and financial statements. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, strategic, and curious—comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment. You excel at distilling feedback, communicating clearly with both internal and external stakeholders, and translating complex fund structures into concise requirements. The role requires meticulous attention to detail given the critical nature of fund accounting calculations.
