Stacks is an AI-native platform reinventing how modern finance teams run their monthly close. The company has raised $23M in Series A funding and grown from 2 to 30+ employees in two years, trusted by leading European scale-ups like Pleo, Freetrade, and Motorway.
As Implementation Engineer, you'll lead technical implementations of Stacks for new customers and product features. Key responsibilities include configuring environments, executing system tests, managing UAT, providing cutover and hypercare support, and ensuring customers are fully onboarded and proficient. You'll leverage technical knowledge to advise customers on best practices, translate accounting business problems into Stacks solutions, and work with Engineering to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues during and after deployment.
You'll drive process improvements and automation by developing internal tools and scripts to streamline implementations and scale operational efficiency. You'll enhance Stacks' documentation hub by updating content, creating new materials, and supporting client self-service. You'll also capture and structure customer feedback, collaborating with Product and Engineering to influence prioritization of future development.
Required: 3+ years managing software implementation projects in SaaS environments (internal or external consultant roles). Deep hands-on experience with Accounting ERPs as a power user, accountant, ERP administrator, or consultant. Strong technical proficiency—ability to understand complex systems, self-solve technical problems, and ideally experience with SQL and basic scripting (Python, Node JS). Strong accounting domain knowledge, ideally CPA or month-end close experience, enabling confident engagement with finance and technical stakeholders.
The role offers foundational impact at a category-defining company, meaningful equity in a rapidly scaling business targeting $10M ARR, exposure to AI and finance innovation, collaboration with high-caliber talent from Uber, Plaid, Miro, and Mollie, and a modern workspace in London's Fora with gym and class access. The company emphasizes strong team culture with regular socials and off-sites.
