OpenGov is seeking an Implementation Consultant to drive successful deployments of its AI and ERP platform for local and state governments. You will manage end-to-end implementation projects for new customers, serving as the primary technical point of contact throughout data requirements gathering, platform configuration, administrator training, and go-live support.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include working directly with government officials and staff to guide them through implementation, understanding their requirements and pain points, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to simplify and automate their processes. You will develop deep expertise in governmental workflows across multiple states, leverage best practices to drive implementation efficiencies, and gather customer feedback to inform product discussions.
You'll also mentor fellow team members, contribute insights during sales and scoping activities, and partner with the engagement and adoption team to ensure consistent customer success. This role requires you to be a trusted advisor—balancing technical depth with strong interpersonal skills to foster positive, long-term customer relationships.
Required qualifications include 2+ years in the public sector (procurement, budgeting, finance, asset management, or community development) and 2+ years in software implementation consulting. You must have strong financial data analysis skills, proficiency in customer training, advanced Excel capabilities (v-lookup, pivot tables, reporting), and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Excellent communication, adaptability, and customer service orientation are essential.
