Salary: USD 69,250 - 118,250 / annual
Curriculum Associates is seeking an Impact Specialist, Curriculum and Instruction (Literacy) to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the West Coast region. This role bridges product expertise with field execution, advancing core literacy adoption and implementation across K–8 schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain gold-standard product knowledge and presentation skills to support core adoption and revenue growth
- Collaborate with National Directors and internal product teams to create awareness experiences that build educator engagement with core literacy offerings
- Communicate features, advantages, and benefits of core offerings in sales and advisory settings
- Engage with national and regional leadership to identify state adoption opportunities and expand core footprint
- Stay informed on emerging research, trends, and legislation impacting curriculum and instruction
- Work closely with regional field teams to monitor and protect the health of core literacy implementations
- Advise field teams on implementation challenges related to instructional models and program coherence
- Coordinate with SME counterparts in literacy and mathematics to assess implementation health
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders on project status and milestones
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional learning in curriculum and instruction
The role requires 60–70% travel within the West Coast region, including overnight stays. Candidates must currently live in or be willing to relocate to the West Coast region and possess a valid driver's license.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in education with focus on curriculum and instruction
- Demonstrated experience in ELA and Literacy through classroom teaching, instructional leadership, school leadership, or district-level leadership
- Strong understanding of how high-quality curriculum is implemented across languages while supporting both content learning and language development
- Knowledge of best practices and trends in ELA/Literacy
- Ability to build credibility with teachers, coaches, principals, and district leaders
- Ability to thrive in collaborative environments with high self-directed initiative
- Ability to manage projects through change, building trust and driving toward best outcomes with respect and compassion
- Strong organizational skills balancing short-term tasks with long-term initiatives
- Demonstrated effectiveness working cross-functionally with remote teams and diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field (advanced degree preferred)
