As HSE Manager for Data Center Construction, you will champion safety across Crusoe's expanding data center construction portfolio. Based in Dallas, TX with travel to project sites, you'll be an integral member of the Digital Infrastructure Group safety team, reporting to the Director of Safety. Your deep technical safety knowledge—particularly in mission-critical builds, steel erection, electrical and mechanical safety—will be essential to the role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with the DIG Director of Safety to understand operational risks and develop concrete action plans
- Cultivate HSE awareness and strong safety culture through communications, training, and active program involvement
- Conduct thorough worker risk assessments and provide actionable mitigation recommendations
- Develop and implement HSE processes, procedures, work instructions, and checklists
- Monitor compliance with regulations, internal policies, and procedures; report on HSE objectives and metrics
- Liaise with contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies on HSE issues
- Plan and support compliance audits and assessments
- Facilitate incident investigations and lead root cause analysis efforts
- Monitor and follow up on corrective actions and audit findings
- Coordinate HSE training for all personnel
- Maintain awareness of new HSE requirements and integrate them into systems
- Ensure HSE documentation is meticulously maintained at all worksites
- Provide HSE support to other operational groups as needed
This is a full-time position where your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and well-being of critical power infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience, with strong preference for data center construction, Oil and Gas, commercial construction, heavy civil, or other mission-critical operations
- Deep technical knowledge of HSE rules and regulations at Federal and State levels
- Proven direct experience implementing HSE rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in operational environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction across all organizational levels and with external stakeholders
- Proficient computer skills for documentation, reporting, and HSE management systems
- Legal work authorization to work and reside in the US without sponsorship
- Must participate in drug and alcohol program (safety-sensitive position)
Bonus qualifications:
- University degree in related field (Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering)
- Specific expertise in steel erection, electrical/mechanical safety (NFPA 70E), and earthwork
- Certifications such as CSP, ASP, or CHST
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth company environment
- Proven ability to drive cultural change related to safety
