FreedomPay is seeking a strategic, hands-on HR Business Partner with deep talent acquisition expertise to support a growing fintech technology organization. This hybrid role, based in Philadelphia headquarters, combines full-cycle recruiting leadership with broader HR Business Partner responsibilities.
You will serve as a trusted strategic partner to business leaders, translating workforce needs into practical people and hiring strategies. Your core responsibilities include owning full-cycle recruiting for assigned functions—from intake and sourcing through offer development, closing, and onboarding partnership. You'll build proactive sourcing strategies for technical and business roles using LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, referrals, and job boards, while developing diverse, high-quality candidate pipelines and maintaining talent communities for critical roles.
Beyond recruiting, you'll provide HR Business Partner support across workforce planning, talent gaps, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, and retention priorities. You'll coach hiring managers on role definition, interview design, candidate evaluation, and effective candidate experience. You'll administer and optimize the applicant tracking system (preferably Lever), managing requisition workflows, candidate stages, interview plans, data accuracy, reporting, and process improvements.
You'll use recruiting metrics and market insights to identify trends, assess funnel effectiveness, improve time-to-fill and quality-of-hire, and provide clear recommendations to leaders. Additional responsibilities include providing employee relations and performance-management guidance, supporting compensation and offer decisions through market benchmarking and internal equity analysis, and responsibly leveraging AI and automation to improve sourcing, outreach, documentation, reporting, and candidate experience.

- Hands-on experience administering and using an applicant tracking system to manage workflows, candidate data, reporting, compliance, and process improvements

- Working knowledge of HR Business Partner disciplines: workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent management, and employee engagement
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel-based recruiting and workforce reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, high attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to adopt AI-enabled tools
- Must pass background check and credit check; authorization to work in the U.S. required
