Salary: EUR 37,000 - 43,000 / annual
Roadsurfer is Europe's largest campervan rental company, offering vehicle rentals, subscriptions, a booking platform for camping spots, and direct sales. This Station Manager role is based in Heidelberg and reports to central departments while leading a local team.
Key responsibilities include: building and optimizing the Heidelberg station's operations in collaboration with central teams; implementing and improving operational standards (vehicle handovers, returns, fleet management); recruiting and developing your team through structured onboarding, task planning, and regular feedback; maintaining fleet quality and coordinating with local service partners; advising customers on roadsurfer products (rent, abo, spots, myroadsurfer platform); and contributing to continuous process improvement through international team collaboration.
You will own station development, process optimization, team leadership, and recruiting. The role requires hands-on problem-solving, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to balance strategic development with day-to-day operational excellence.
Required qualifications: completed vocational training or degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience); 1–2 years of professional experience, ideally in car rental, tourism, or related sectors (career changers welcome); first experience in team leadership preferred, but empathy and supportive leadership style are most important; strong service and customer orientation; pragmatic, solution-focused mindset; fluent German and English; valid Class B driver's license.
Compensation: €37,000–€43,000 gross annually, with transparent salary bands and annual review cycles. Benefits include annual campervan rental allowance, job bike program, corporate discounts, and regular team events.
