Revolut is seeking a Portugal-based Health and Safety Specialist to lead the development and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices across the organization. This role sits within the Operations function and is central to protecting employees, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting Revolut's culture of innovation as the company scales globally.
Key responsibilities include designing and building safe working environments with standardized processes; leading the evolution of a global health and safety management system aligned with company growth; ensuring compliance with local and international regulations and translating legal obligations into clear company policies; conducting comprehensive risk assessments for new and existing offices and identifying hazards through regular site reviews; monitoring performance, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective actions; collaborating cross-functionally as a subject-matter expert; and reporting progress against key EHS goals.
Required qualifications include a Técnico Superior de Segurança no Trabalho (Portuguese Safety Technician) certification, fluency in English (written and spoken), experience as a Safety Manager in a global organization, deep understanding of health and safety principles and EHS best practices, solid knowledge of risk management and assessment (particularly for new market entry), strategic thinking and planning skills, and excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Demonstrable experience creating and implementing safety mission statements and strategic plans is essential.
Nice-to-have qualifications include fintech experience, global employee safety and duty of care knowledge, proficiency with Google Sheets, and JavaScript knowledge for automation and scripting.
