Mercury is a fintech platform providing banking, treasury, and financial workflow solutions for startups and technology companies. The company has grown to over 200,000 customers since 2019 and operates a revenue organization of 100+ sellers with plans to double that scale.
As Head of Revenue Technology & Architecture, you will own the strategy and execution for systems, workflows, and processes powering Mercury's revenue organization across Sales, Partnerships, and Account Management. You'll take business problems, design solutions, and ship them rapidly—the team iterates in weeks rather than quarters, prioritizing imperfect but functional solutions over delayed perfection.
Key responsibilities include rebuilding the revenue stack with AI-first principles, both in product (automation, scoring, agent-driven workflows) and in development methodology. You'll be a hands-on builder who translates fluently between business and technical domains, deeply understanding revenue org objectives while architecting technical solutions. You'll lead and grow a team of admins, engineers, and architects, guiding them toward a high-speed, iterative operating model. You'll deliver value on imperfect foundations while systematically improving underlying systems, and develop strong stakeholder relationships to build consensus and drive impact.
Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in revenue systems, GTM systems, or revenue architecture in B2B environments (ideally at orgs with 250+ sellers), plus 5+ years managing teams. Experience at product-led companies with layered sales motions, hands-on AI deployment in GTM systems, and proven change leadership are highly valued. Salesforce fluency is useful but not required; the company seeks non-standard paths including product managers, systems builders, and operators who taught themselves technical skills. Strong conviction, communication skills, and ability to influence senior leaders while staying close to the work are essential.
