Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Head of Operations to lead all business operations for the Space Orbital Systems team. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving day-to-day operations, business planning, organizational design, talent planning, real estate and facility planning, security and infrastructure compliance, proposal and legal support, and division narrative.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive day-to-day business operations for the Space Business line, encompassing business planning, organization design, talent planning, people operations, real estate and facility planning, security and infrastructure compliance, proposal and legal support, and division narrative
- Work with the growth team to define and synthesize growth strategy for Space Orbital Systems in partnership with Space Leadership Team
- Support growth, execution, and engineering of the business line with operational support
- Lead strategic initiatives aligned with Business Line priorities
- Problem-solve to enable efficient operations and scalability
- Own management of Business Line P&L and burn rate in close collaboration with Anduril finance
- Build senior leader engagement and external interface strategy (conferences, press releases, partnerships)
- Build, negotiate, and execute partnerships across industry
- Support M&A activity including target identification and diligence engagement
The Space Orbital Systems team develops spacecraft and space systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system, to enhance Space Domain Awareness, Space Control, and Command and Control for U.S. military and allied partners. The team builds fully integrated hardware and software systems to address growing threats in space.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of professional experience in operations
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to solve operational problems in a data-driven and people-centric manner
- High ownership with capacity to manage 6+ large projects and priorities in parallel at rapid pace
- Solid technical aptitude and proven ability to understand technical designs and work effectively with engineering teams
- Ability to work onsite five days a week at Costa Mesa HQ
- Minimum 25% travel expected
- Able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA or similar degree
- Experience working with engineers and bringing hardware/software products to market
- Experience in the Space Industry
- Experience working effectively in matrix organization structures
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field
