Anthropic is seeking a Head of Enterprise Risk to lead enterprise risk programs as the company scales globally. Reporting to the Head of Resilience Operations, you will own a portfolio of enterprise-risk disciplines including environmental health & safety (EH&S), access and life-cycle management, third-party (vendor) risk management, and security program management for new facilities. You will directly oversee specialist leaders running these programs. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and owning Anthropic's enterprise risk framework—identifying, assessing, and prioritizing enterprise risks while integrating risk governance into business planning and decision-making. • Leading and developing a team of programmatic leaders across EH&S, access management, third-party risk, and new-facility security; setting direction, standards, and accountable outcomes. • Enabling global EH&S program leadership and supporting strategy, policy, and standards development to ensure regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture across all operations. • Supporting access and life-cycle management programs, including access governance, provisioning standards, and auditing across Anthropic facilities. • Standing up and running a third-party (vendor) risk program covering due diligence, security and safety requirements in contracts, and ongoing monitoring of critical suppliers. • Facilitating development of security program management for new facilities—from risk assessment and design requirements through pre-opening readiness and transition to operations—in partnership with regional teams, GSIS, Real Estate, and Facilities. • Anticipating emerging enterprise risks tied to rapid growth, new global offices, and frontier research environments, and advising leadership on readiness. • Partnering across GSIS, IT, People, Legal, and Compliance to embed risk programs into the business. You should have 12+ years in enterprise risk, safety, resilience, or security program leadership, including managing teams and multi-disciplinary programs. You will have built or owned an enterprise risk management framework and integrated it into business planning. Experience leading multi-disciplinary programs at organizational scale is essential. You are an effective people leader who develops specialists and maintains a high program bar. You communicate risk clearly to executives and translate it into operational programs. You think in systems and time horizons, building ahead of need, and thrive in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments. Strong candidates may have experience building risk, safety, or resilience programs at hyperscale technology companies or across large multi-site, multinational organizations. A strong EH&S background with program development and oversight in complex or high-risk environments is valuable. Third-party/vendor risk management program experience, deep familiarity with enterprise risk frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000) and risk governance, relevant certifications (CSP, CIH, CPP, ARM, or ERM credentials), and experience in high-profile, regulated, or research environments are all advantageous.
