Platzi is the largest technology school in the Hispanic world, serving over 7 million students and 4,000 companies. The company trains individuals and organizations in AI, Cybersecurity, English, Programming, and Leadership, with a mission to make Latin America a technology superpower. As Head of Education, you own the entire content engine and the team that powers it. You lead Course Directors, a Postproduction Manager (who oversees editors), and a partnerships lead. You report to the Chief Product Officer. This is a hands-on builder's role. You live in the operational details, not just at the strategic level. You code and ship tools, and you understand what Platzi needs to teach next—this expertise lets you judge content quality and identify gaps in the catalog. Key responsibilities include: - Lead the Education team (Course Directors, Postproduction Manager, partnerships lead) - Design content strategy by reading market demand and assessing Platzi's fit to decide what to teach and why - Own the content roadmap: prioritize what gets built, in what order, and justify the decisions - Set and enforce content quality standards; investigate root causes when standards slip - Manage the full production pipeline end-to-end (production, postproduction, publishing) on time and at quality - Build internal tools, including AI-powered solutions, that scale course production and improvement - Own the metrics: track retention, acquisition, and enrollments per course; coordinate with Growth Marketing to ensure the catalog drives business results Requirements: - At least 7 years of experience, including leading a team with direct reports - Coding ability; you have already built at least one tool with AI - Hands-on experience creating content: you have made courses or educational content yourself - Proven ability to use metrics (retention, acquisition, enrollments, or similar funnel metrics) to drive decisions - Background in startups or fast-moving environments with exposure to new learning models - Fluent in both English and Spanish
