Scalable Capital, a leading European digital investment and banking platform with over 1 million clients and €30 billion in assets under management, is seeking a Head of Data to lead and scale its data organization.
In this role, you will lead the Data Tribe, managing a team of Team Leads and serving as a strategic partner across the organization. You will identify opportunities to create data-driven business value, establish data management and governance guidelines, and ensure compliance with engineering standards. You will act as a mentor and coach to your team, consulting on data-driven ways of working throughout the company and beyond the data function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Data Tribe and mentoring Team Leads
- Identifying opportunities to create data-driven business value across the company
- Developing and implementing data management and data governance guidelines
- Ensuring compliance of data activities with engineering guidelines
- Managing data infrastructure and analytics, ensuring data governance and integrity
- Supporting ICT operations
- Serving as the Data Protection Coordinator for the Engineering Department
- Consulting on data-driven methodologies and best practices
You will work with an international, diverse team across Scalable Capital's offices in Munich, Berlin, Vienna, Milan, and London. Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Science, Mathematics, or similar field
- Excellent knowledge of data science and machine learning models
- Excellent knowledge of data-driven business applications
- Several years of data project management experience
- Several years of people management experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent English communication skills
