You will lead Solidus's Tel Aviv-based Data organization, which spans Data Infrastructure, Data Applications, and Data Adapters/Integration. This is a hands-on group-lead role managing Tech Leads and Staff Engineers while owning the technical direction and delivery of the entire data function.
Key responsibilities include:
• Org Leadership: Manage and develop Tech Leads and Staff Engineers; set technical direction, hiring plans, and career development paths for the data group.
• Scale & Reliability: Guide architectural decisions for ClickHouse, Kafka, Airflow, and Kubernetes-based pipelines processing billions of events daily across real-time and T+1 batch workloads; own migrations and technical-debt reduction with tracked plans.
• End-to-End Technical Accountability: Own architecture and design decisions across the data stack; personally review critical pull requests and lead debugging on high-severity production incidents.
• Delivery & Quality: Drive sprint delivery, on-call health, testing rigor, and code-review discipline; serve as the final line of defense against regressions and breaking changes in production.
• Cross-Functional Representation: Partner with Product, Compliance, Customer Success, and clients on integrations and data quality; represent the Data org in stakeholder conversations, including under pressure.
• Team Development: Mentor and coach Tech Leads and engineers; provide direct feedback and build clear career paths for high performers.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring significant time in code, architecture reviews, and incident debugging—not just planning meetings. Physical presence in Tel Aviv is expected as the standard for how the organization operates.
