As Head of Build Reliability at Impulse, you will establish and oversee quality standards for all flight hardware, working cross-functionally with propulsion, vehicle, avionics, and other engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality built parts. You will develop, maintain, and continuously improve Impulse's quality management system to support manufacturing excellence and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establish quality methodology for tracking quality issues throughout the manufacturing process
- Build, develop, and maintain systems to address quality problems that improve reliability and accelerate production
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver quality improvement projects
- Partner with production and supply chain teams on hardware non-conformance tracking and rapid resolution
- Develop manufacturing quality standards and inspection procedures
- Identify, source, and set up quality inspection equipment; train operators on best practices
- Build out Impulse's Quality Plan and documentation toward AS9100 certification
You will bring 8+ years of experience in fast-paced manufacturing, quality, build reliability, and/or design engineering roles, with demonstrated success building or optimizing quality management systems. A hands-on approach to setting up quality systems and solving quality problems is essential. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
