Graphcore is seeking a Hardware Validation & Debug Engineer to build and maintain test systems for advanced AI hardware platforms. You will create preproduction test solutions at system and board levels, ensuring Graphcore's electronic hardware is production-ready before deployment. In this role, you will define test methods, specify equipment, and automate complex hardware test systems. Your work spans high-speed serial links (Ethernet, PCIe), high-current power supplies, slower protocols, and low-level PCBA debug. You will develop deep product knowledge, improve test coverage, and help transfer robust solutions into production. You will join the Hardware Test team within Graphcore's Hardware Engineering group, working closely with SI, mechanical, layout, package, silicon, firmware, and production teams. The team values proactive communication, evidence-driven decisions, and high-quality test data. You will own test design projects from practical lab debug through automation and reporting. REQUIREMENTS: - Experience developing and automating test systems for complex electronic systems - Knowledge of Ethernet and/or PCIe testing, including high-speed hardware debug - Fluency in test scripting languages, including Python and LabView - Ability to plan test work, improve coverage and communicate progress clearly - Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, BERTs and VNAs - Strong ownership, teamwork and communication skills across technical teams - Legal right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
