Tive is a supply chain visibility company that uses IoT hardware and software to track shipments across road, rail, ocean, and air transport. The company reduces delays, theft, damage, and spoilage for customers who depend on on-time, in-full delivery. As Hardware Engineering Program Manager (EPM), you will lead the end-to-end development of Tive's hardware products from concept through mass production. This is a high-ownership role where you serve as the internal and external face of hardware projects, owning timelines, deliverables, and risk communication. Key responsibilities: - Lead cross-functional hardware development teams (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, firmware, radio, manufacturing test) through the full development cycle - Plan and coordinate all activities to bring products from concept to production - Act as technical mentor and sounding board for the engineering team - Serve as single source of truth for project status, timelines, deliverables, and risks - Manage external partnerships including development partners, contract manufacturers, and consultants - Coordinate all activities and deliverables with external stakeholders - Own on-time delivery accountability Ideal candidate profile: - Strong technical expertise in electrical and systems design; comfortable going deep into technical details when needed - Excellent communicator (implied from posting) - Experience leading hardware development programs from concept to production - Ability to mentor technical teams and serve as a technical sounding board - Project management discipline and accountability for timelines - Experience coordinating with external manufacturers and development partners - Comfortable in a fast-paced, iterative environment
