Benchling is seeking a Sales Strategy & Operations lead to serve as the analytical and operational backbone of the AMER sales organization. Reporting to the Head of RevOps, you will own the complete operating cadence that drives the business—from annual planning and capacity modeling to forecasting, pipeline health management, and quarterly business reviews. Key responsibilities include leading Sales Operations for the AMER region with end-to-end ownership of planning and day-to-day execution. You will build and maintain sales capacity, coverage, and quota models that align hiring plans with revenue targets. You'll size and segment the addressable market to inform territory design, whitespace analysis, and account prioritization, then design and maintain territory planning frameworks. You will drive the sales forecasting methodology to deliver defensible quarterly views and improve accuracy over time. Weekly pipeline reviews, forecast calls, and quarterly business reviews will use data-driven insights to flag risks early and enable proactive decision-making. You'll own performance reporting and analyze data to generate meaningful insights and recommendations that improve the analytical rhythm of the business. A significant component of this role involves shaping the GTM AI roadmap—defining high-impact use cases, building or acquiring the right solutions, and ensuring successful adoption of new AI capabilities across the sales organization. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Strategic Finance, Sales Enablement, Deal Desk, Business Intelligence, and Technology & Systems to drive shared initiatives from ideation through execution. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in Sales Strategy & Operations, Revenue Operations, or related analytical/GTM roles. You have a builder mentality with a track record of creating repeatable, scalable systems and processes. You're a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and brings structured thinking to problem-solving. Advanced analytical skills and the judgment to translate data into clear recommendations are essential. You have experience partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Enablement, and Product teams. You're excited about applying AI and automation to GTM workflows with a pragmatic, high-impact focus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to flex between detailed analysis and executive-level narrative, are required.
