Axial Networks is a fintech platform founded in 2009 that powers the small and mid-sized business (SMB) M&A market. The company serves over 10,000 private market participants including private equity firms, corporate acquirers, investment banks, and business owners. In 2025, Axial facilitated over 3 million buyer-seller connections across 12,500+ deals, powering approximately half of the U.S. SMB M&A market for companies with $5M-$100M revenue.
The GTM Engineer role is part of the Business Operations team and reports to the Business Operations Lead. This is an early-to-mid-career technical operations position focused on building and maintaining workflows, automations, and internal tools that enable Axial's go-to-market teams to operate more effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining GTM workflow automations using n8n, Zapier, Clay, Google Apps Script, and related no-code/low-code platforms
- Configuring integrations and data processes across Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Gong, and other GTM systems
- Monitoring automation reliability, troubleshooting issues, performing QA, and documenting solutions
- Leveraging LLMs and AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code) to build workflow enhancements, internal applications, and business utilities
- Independently owning clearly scoped projects from requirements through implementation, testing, rollout, and ongoing improvement
- Partnering with Business Operations and GTM stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate progress
The role focuses on translating recurring GTM needs into reliable technical solutions that improve targeting, enrichment, routing, qualification, campaign execution, and reduce repetitive work. Success requires technical curiosity, ability to learn quickly, pride in building reliable solutions, clear communication, and a commitment to continuously improving team operations.
Required experience: 1-4 years in Business Operations, RevOps, Sales Operations, GTM Systems, Automation, Implementation, Software Engineering, or similar roles. Hands-on experience with workflow/automation tools (n8n, Zapier, Clay, Make, Google Apps Script) and GTM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Gong) is essential. GTM and data fluency required.
Location: New York City with hybrid arrangement (3 days per week in-office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
