As a Growth Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of customer relationships, sitting at the intersection of engineering and customer success. You'll own the technical relationship with a portfolio of customers, leading implementations including integrations, configuration, data migration, and API setup. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, escalating to engineering when needed and following through to resolution.
You will partner closely with Growth & Retention Managers to drive adoption, expansion, and retention. You'll build solutions and scripts that enable customers to succeed with the platform, run technical reviews and health checks to maintain account health and reduce churn, and translate customer feedback into prioritized input for product and engineering teams. You'll also create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and self-service resources.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Customer Success Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Support, or Sales Engineering. You should be comfortable with APIs, integrations, and writing scripts in Python, JavaScript, or SQL. Strong communication skills are essential—you'll explain complex technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders. A genuine customer-first mindset, strong relationship-building abilities, and excellent troubleshooting skills are critical. You must manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, experience with SaaS/cloud platforms and technical customer bases, familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure, and knowledge of integration patterns like REST, webhooks, SSO/SAML, and ETL. Experience improving retention, adoption, or customer health metrics is valued.
