As a Group Accounting Expert, you will own complex consolidation and reporting topics while contributing to Enpal's IFRS and HGB consolidated financial statements. You will work closely with accounting teams and senior Finance stakeholders across the Group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking end-to-end ownership of complex Group Accounting and consolidation topics, playing a key role in preparing consolidated financial statements under IFRS and HGB
- Analyzing and validating Group financial results, challenging inconsistencies, and working with local accounting teams to resolve issues before consolidation
- Performing and reviewing consolidation activities including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, equity consolidation, and Group-level adjustments
- Conducting analytical reviews of P&L and balance sheet movements, identifying significant variances, and understanding key financial drivers
- Preparing and improving Group-level analyses, reconciliations, and reporting schedules to ensure consistency across accounting records and reported figures
- Managing and coordinating IFRS and HGB Group audits, serving as central point of contact for external auditors
- Collaborating with GL Accounting, Technical Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and other Finance teams
- Supporting integration of new entities and Group structure changes, contributing to continuous improvement of consolidation processes

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or comparable field
- Several years of relevant experience in Group Accounting, consolidation, financial reporting, or audit, ideally in complex or international organizations
- Strong IFRS and HGB knowledge with hands-on experience preparing consolidated financial statements in complex Group structures
- Solid understanding of consolidation topics including intercompany eliminations, equity consolidation, and Group-level adjustments
- Experience analyzing Group financial results and connecting accounting/consolidation data with underlying business developments
- Strong technical accounting expertise combined with pragmatic, hands-on mindset
- Ability to take ownership of complex topics, work independently, proactively identify issues, and drive resolution
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and coordinating across Accounting and Finance functions
- Fluent English communication; German is a strong advantage (particularly for HGB reporting and audit responsibilities)
- Experience with LucaNet or similar consolidation/reporting systems is a strong advantage
- Audit or Accounting Advisory background is valued
