Arista Networks is seeking a Golang Engineer to join the Engineering Productivity (EngProd) team in Dublin. You will collaborate with other engineers to design, build, scale, and operate the systems that Arista's development teams depend on. The EngProd team works with industry-standard systems including Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Grafana, Spinnaker, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Google Cloud, and Varnish, alongside custom internal systems built to automate CI/CD, testing, analysis, and visualization. The team prioritizes observability as a cornerstone of system stability, ensuring comprehensive monitoring and visualization of all tooling and infrastructure. In this role, you will: - Review and contribute to specifications and implementations written by team members - Design and develop features, feature tests, and solutions; fix bugs and refactor code as needed - Work with Arista's software engineers to identify bottlenecks and limitations in workflows, tooling, and infrastructure, providing fixes for those problems - Provide support for tools and infrastructure to Arista's development team - Own projects from definition to deployment and customer interactions, ensuring quality throughout Arista Software Engineering roles demand a strong and broad software engineering background. While the primary focus is EngProd, the role spans all aspects of software development, including feature addition, debugging, and performance optimization. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus 3+ years of experience, Master's degree in Computer Science plus 2+ years of experience, Ph.D. in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience - Knowledge of one or more of: Go, Python, Javascript, C++, Java - Knowledge of Linux or UNIX - Understanding of operating systems, networking systems, or distributed systems - Applied understanding of software engineering principles - Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills - Ability to design solutions and implement features independently; ability to work in small teams
