Amperesand is building next-generation power infrastructure hardware and software to support the energy transition. The company develops intelligent, software-defined power systems based on advanced medium-voltage solid-state transformer technology, targeting deployment across AI data centers, EV charging, and modern industrial applications.
As Global Supply Manager for Capital Expenditures, you will own end-to-end sourcing and procurement strategy for all capital investments powering Amperesand's growth. This includes manufacturing equipment, test infrastructure, factory buildout, and construction across the company's global hubs (San Francisco, Reno, Singapore).
Key responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and procure high-value capital equipment including power electronics manufacturing systems, test platforms, and precision manufacturing assets
- Develop and manage multi-year capital procurement roadmaps aligned with production scale-up and new product introduction milestones
- Negotiate and execute contracts with strategic suppliers, securing favorable pricing, delivery terms, warranties, and service agreements
- Conduct total-cost-of-ownership modeling; evaluate make-vs-buy options and qualify new assets in coordination with engineering and operations
- Own sourcing for indirect spend categories including tooling, calibration services, test/measurement equipment, and engineering services
- Manage procurement for facility construction, fit-out, and equipment installation; ensure timelines align with facility readiness and capital project schedules
- Optimize total cost across all capex categories (base cost, tariffs, logistics, lead time, quality) in coordination with finance, engineering, and operations
- Support full program and integration cycle for manufacturing equipment through deployment (FAT, SAT)
You will be a strategic partner in shaping how Amperesand builds and equips its facilities globally, ensuring acquisition of the right assets from the right suppliers at the right cost and timeline.
