Salary: USD 94,000 - 198,000 / annual

Boom Supersonic is building Superpower, a 42-megawatt industrial gas turbine for high-efficiency power generation at scale. The company is assembling its first prototype and standing up a production facility in parallel. You will own the end-to-end sourcing and supply chain strategy for metals (alloys, castings, forgings), precision machined parts, electrical and controls, and supporting systems. You will lead the complete RFx cycle—identifying suppliers, preparing and issuing RFQs, analyzing responses, executing supplier capability assessments, driving negotiations, securing internal approvals, and nominating selected partners that meet Boom's strategic objectives. You will partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to orchestrate seamless New Product Introduction (NPI) and efficient scaling to production, participating in design reviews and change control meetings as the supply chain voice. You will develop, align, and execute comprehensive commodity strategies to meet long-term supply chain objectives and inform executive-level decisions. You will gain deep understanding of the supply base, fabrication and assembly processes, materials, lead times, global trends, and emerging technologies to enable proactive decision-making. You will evaluate global supply chain risks and develop robust contingency plans to support production ramp. You will ensure proper contracting (NDAs, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements) and develop long-term agreements aligning supply with business needs. You will own supplier relationships end-to-end—establishing performance metrics and scorecards, resolving disputes, and running periodic business reviews to keep cost, quality, and delivery on track. You will develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and manage all relevant master data in MRP systems to ensure accurate information and acceptable line of balance with supply. This role demands a proactive mindset, cross-functional influence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where technical excellence and execution speed are paramount. You will treat the supplier base as something you actively build and manage, move fast on sourcing decisions, drive supplier issues to resolution, and operate comfortably in a lean, high-accountability environment. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement - Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent experience - Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development - Understanding of costing concepts, cost reduction, and modeling - Excellent data-driven decision making, problem solving, and analytical skills - Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams - Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships - Ability to travel up to 15% of the time - ITAR Requirement: Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
