Sunday is developing personal robots to reclaim time lost to repetitive household tasks, with a mission to make generalized robotics broadly accessible. The company has spent 18 months building a talented team, securing capital, and validating technology, and is now scaling from prototype to production volume.
As Global Supply Manager, you will lead strategic sourcing of critical components and assemblies for Memo, Sunday's first product. You'll partner with the Head of Supply Management in Asia and with US-based leaders across Hardware, Manufacturing, NPI, and Finance to build a resilient, sustainable supply base. You own the commercial and operational success of Sunday's supply chain during this critical scaling phase.
Key responsibilities include: defining and owning category strategies for critical components and assemblies; leading RFx processes and negotiating commercial agreements including piece pricing, tooling/NRE, and contractual terms; managing business risk through assessment of capacity, geopolitics, logistics, and supplier technology roadmaps; partnering with Hardware and Electrical Engineering on component decisions in early design phases to implement Design for Supply Chain (DfSC) strategy; aligning with Supply Chain in Asia on pricing, capacity allocation, and technical issues; building processes, templates, and reports for Sunday's US supply chain function; and achieving cost targets through should-cost modeling, market analysis, and strategic negotiations.
You bring 5+ years in sourcing or procurement in high-volume consumer electronics, with a degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. You have demonstrated experience leading cross-functional work-streams with engineering, operations, finance, legal, and NPI teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is willingness to travel domestically and internationally with short notice.
Nice-to-have qualifications include existing relationships with US-based IC distributors (Avnet, Arrow, Digi-Key, Mouser) or direct semiconductor vendor relationships; technical fluency in semiconductor categories such as MCUs, PMICs, camera modules, motor controllers, IMUs, or connectivity ICs; import/export compliance knowledge (ITAR, export controls, dual-use electronics); and Mandarin proficiency.
