Datadog is seeking an experienced Global Safety & Security Manager to join its Operations team in Sydney (with potential coverage for Singapore, EMEA, and AMER regions as needed). This role reports directly to the Global Head of Global Safety & Security and is responsible for managing day-to-day safety and security operations across Datadog's regional offices in Asia Pacific, including co-working locations. Key responsibilities include: - Manage global safety and security operations for APAC regional offices and coordinate with global initiatives - Oversee investigations, health and safety compliance, security risk management, travel safety, event security, budgeting, crisis management, emergency response, and property loss management - Develop and enforce regional safety policies, technical security solutions, emergency preparedness training, and liaise with local law enforcement - Collaborate cross-functionally with Office Operations, Real Estate, IT, Legal, Events, and People teams - Execute daily operations and strategic initiatives for workplace safety, contract security personnel management, and incident response - Identify long-term organizational needs and develop strategic plans for executive approval - Provide assessments and briefings to leadership on corrective actions and their impact - Facilitate tabletop exercises for emergency preparedness and crisis management - Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external security providers The role operates in a hybrid workplace model and requires domestic and international travel. Requirements: - 8+ years of experience in corporate physical security and safety roles within a global security environment, with specific expertise in Asia Pacific (APAC) regions - 5+ years as a full-time people manager (essential) - Demonstrated experience managing safety and security operations in fast-paced technology environments - Skilled in managing all aspects of physical security programs, including Executive Protection, Event Security, and Travel Security - Proven track record building and growing regional and global safety and security programs to scale - Knowledge of global technical security monitoring systems, architectural planning, and physical security design - Familiarity with enterprise physical security risk management principles and conducting security/safety risk assessments - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for conveying security information across organizational levels - Strong vendor management capabilities
