Anthropic is seeking a Global Power Delivery Equipment Lead to own the company's global strategy, OEM relationships, and capacity position for long-lead power equipment critical to its data center expansion. This role will establish and lead Anthropic's global equipment strategy function, representing the company with OEM executives, utilities, and development partners.
You will own end-to-end sourcing strategies for critical power generation and grid-integration equipment including gas turbines, reciprocating engines, large power and generator step-up transformers, medium- and high-voltage switchgear, solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS), and related electrical balance-of-plant across off-grid (behind-the-meter, islanded, bridge power) and grid-integrated sites globally.
Key responsibilities include: driving commercial negotiations and framework agreements for power equipment; securing and managing OEM manufacturing slots and capacity reservations; building and maintaining relationships with OEM leadership across North America, Japan, Asia, and Europe; translating site and energy pipelines into equipment forecasts and procurement plans; enabling innovative power system approaches (off-grid, solar-dominant configurations with BESS); coordinating global equipment plans with regional energy leads in US, EMEA, and APAC; deciding allocation across sites in constrained markets; implementing frameworks for third-party partners and contractors; working with EPCs and utilities on collaborative, programmatic sourcing; managing lead-time risk across the portfolio; and proactively monitoring global supply chain volatility with contingency planning.
You will coordinate across energy origination, engineering, demand planning, construction, legal, finance, and third-party development partners to drive equipment availability and establish OEM relationships at portfolio scale rather than project-by-project. The role requires managing complex global supply chains, long-lead procurement timelines, and strategic capacity allocation to support Anthropic's rapid data center build-out.
