Papaya Global, a rapidly growing B2B SaaS unicorn with over $400M in funding, is seeking a Global Payroll Operations Specialist to support payroll processing across APAC countries including China, Singapore, and Japan. This role is based in the APAC region with immediate to 30-day availability required.
You will be responsible for day-to-day payroll delivery activities across multiple countries through in-country provider partnerships. Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with local country requirements, managing employee and customer payroll queries, and delivering excellent service throughout the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding. You will handle payroll data reporting for internal and external stakeholders, contribute to country expansion by establishing processes with new in-country processors, and identify opportunities to streamline payroll administration and processes.
The role requires collaboration with your manager, team members, and stakeholders on task status, project updates, and process harmonization initiatives. You will support the implementation team in client onboarding and provide expert payroll knowledge to help clients resolve questions.
Required qualifications include 3+ years of payroll operations or customer service operations experience, 2+ years of payroll processing experience in one or more geographies, strong attention to detail, and advanced Microsoft Office proficiency. You should have proven customer service skills, experience working with outsourced payroll providers, ability to manage pressure and tight deadlines, and fluency in written and oral English. A can-do, positive approach and process improvement mindset are essential.
