Volta is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform building the compute utility layer for the AI era. The Global Estimating Manager owns pricing and cost estimation across Volta's capital projects and infrastructure fleet.
In this role, you will establish estimating standards, methods, and tools that give the business cost certainty from project inception through delivery. You'll work cross-functionally with front-end planning, procurement, and controls to build should-cost models for major packages, develop cost benchmarks across projects and regions, and support procurement negotiations with independent cost intelligence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning estimating standards and benchmarks across the Volta fleet
- Producing and assuring estimates through feasibility, planning, and baselining phases
- Building should-cost models for major packages and critical equipment
- Developing cost benchmarks across projects, regions, and delivery models
- Supporting procurement negotiations with independent cost analysis
- Reconciling estimates against actual costs and continuously improving models
- Coaching project teams on estimating best practices
- Feeding cost insights into design and delivery strategy
You bring estimating experience on data center or major capital projects, with a track record producing estimates across early and detailed stages. You have strong knowledge of MEP-heavy construction cost drivers, experience building benchmarks and should-cost models, and commercial acumen to support negotiations. You're comfortable working across European and US projects and time zones.
