Endurance Energy is building modular subsea geothermal power plants that convert thermal resources beneath the ocean into baseload power. The company is backed by top-tier VCs including Founders Fund, Felicis, First Round Capital, and Point72 Ventures, with a founding team from SpaceX, Helion, Blue Origin, and Apple. They have completed multiple deep-ocean deployments and are launching a long-term demonstration project.
As Global Commodity Manager, you will own end-to-end procurement for mechanical, electrical, and custom-fabricated components. You will translate engineering designs into fully sourced, build-ready systems by managing supplier selection, purchasing, and planning across the entire bill of materials (BOM). Your core responsibilities include building and qualifying supplier relationships with machine shops, PCBA contract manufacturers, and component vendors; driving RFQs and pricing negotiations to reduce lead times; tracking full BOM status for upcoming builds and deployments; identifying long-lead items and developing mitigation plans; maintaining real-time visibility into part status, risks, and delivery timelines; and coordinating closely with engineering and integration teams to ensure build readiness.
You will manage purchase orders, expedite critical components, resolve supply chain issues, and support make-versus-buy decisions for new designs. The role requires proactive vendor management, continuous process improvement for speed and reliability, and organized documentation across suppliers, quotes, and orders. You will also support inventory strategy for critical components and spares.
Required qualifications include 5+ years in supply chain, procurement, or planning for hardware programs; demonstrated experience managing suppliers for machined parts, fabrication, and/or PCBA; strong understanding of manufacturing processes; experience owning BOMs and tracking part readiness; proven ability to manage multiple vendors under tight timelines; strong negotiation skills; high ownership mindset; ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment; and clear communication with engineers and vendors.
Preferred experience includes aerospace, energy, robotics, or hardware startups; low-volume, high-complexity builds; machine shops and PCBA vendors; ability to read engineering drawings; ERP/MRP systems; and track record of scaling supplier networks.
