Atrato is a fintech startup founded in 2019, backed by Y Combinator, Accel, and Architect Capital, focused on providing financial tools to merchants and consumers across Latin America. The company operates two main products: Atrato Pago (point-of-sale financing for merchants, offering monthly or bi-weekly payments up to 24 months for amounts up to 200,000 MXN) and Atrato Cash (personal credit for existing customers).
You will join the collections team as a Collections Manager responsible for designing and executing effective recovery strategies to maintain portfolio health and minimize credit risk. This role is critical to sustaining the company's growth while preserving customer relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and reviewing accounts receivable reconciliations with customers
- Managing a portfolio of approximately 350 customers with overdue balances under 60 days
- Ensuring monthly portfolio recovery against established targets
- Analyzing and correctly applying payment vouchers, identifying discrepancies or unrecognized charges
- Generating and updating customer account statements
- Scheduling collections based on payment terms and due dates
- Daily follow-up on collection activities with weekly reporting on goal achievement
You will work in a fully remote environment with a results-oriented culture, reporting on KPIs and maintaining data integrity across the portfolio.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar collections role
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, analytical formulas, KPI tracking); knowledge of collections management systems is desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills: teamwork, frustration tolerance
- Desirable: prior fintech experience
- Spanish language required
