As a Funding Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for notaries and lawyers across Canada, managing the mortgage funding process from start to finish. Your role ensures that every property purchase closes on schedule by proactively navigating funding complexities and maintaining clear communication with legal professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and distribute instructional packages to solicitors with supporting documentation, serving as the ongoing point of contact until file completion and funding
- Ensure compliance with Know Your Client (KYC) legislation on all files
- Collaborate directly with solicitors to obtain outstanding documentation and resolve issues
- Review and adhere to company funding procedures and legal guidelines to verify accuracy and completeness before mortgage fund release
- Maintain detailed knowledge of residential mortgage processes and provincial regulations
- Manage file workflows to meet funding deadlines and coordinate with internal teams
You will work in a collaborative environment with skilled technology experts, mortgage specialists, and marketing professionals dedicated to improving the mortgage industry.
