Viome is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the PRO (Provider) Team, building the clinician-facing platform that powers their healthcare delivery system.
You will own significant portions of the provider platform, spanning the TypeScript/React single-page application frontend, Java/Spring backend services, and public API layer. Key responsibilities include:
• Building features across the full stack of the clinician portal and supporting services
• Owning the B2B ordering system, including bulk and draft orders, payment terms, Shopify B2B integration, and webhook flows for payment confirmation and state reconciliation
• Working on the results-release pipeline, including the practitioner review gate that holds flagged clinical results until clinician approval
• Building per-organization configuration systems that allow partner organizations to customize features, content, and branding without forking the product
• Taking features from ambiguous business requirements through to shipped, monitored production code, collaborating directly with product, clinical operations, and the PRO sales team
• Improving the codebase intentionally as you work: reducing duplicated business rules, improving architectural seams, and leaving the data model clearer than you found it
This role touches protected health information (PHI) and clinical results, so correctness and attention to detail in sensitive areas is essential.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 3+ years of full-stack development experience with TypeScript/React and a typed backend language (Java/Spring or equivalent)
• Comfortable owning both halves of a feature: the API contract and the interface consuming it
• Strong PostgreSQL skills: can read schemas, reason about joins, and design migrations suitable for production
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tooling
• Deep comfort with ambiguity: able to take loose business needs, ask clarifying questions, and execute without waiting for complete specifications
• Care about correctness, especially in code touching PHI and clinical results
• Interest in health, wellness, or the intersection of biology and technology
