Versana is a data and technology company transforming the syndicated loan market through real-time digital capture and transparency. The company provides a centralized platform that gives market participants access to credible, real-time loan-level details and portfolio positions, bringing efficiency and velocity to the entire market.
You will join the Application Development squad as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining Versana's real-time syndicated loan platform. The role involves both front-end and back-end development, working closely with seasoned technology leaders in a dynamic, agile environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and own front-end and back-end applications for the platform
- Work with Product and UX teams to deliver high-impact, high-visibility solutions addressing client needs
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Build test automation across the full stack
- Optimize applications for performance and scalability
- Develop and maintain the design system
- Help establish technical foundation and culture for the Application Development squad
- Mentor and onboard new team members
You will play a key role in all stages of platform development, from ideation through deployment and support.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must Have:
- BS or BA in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience (backend with Java/Spring Boot, front-end with React/Angular using TypeScript/JavaScript)
- Good understanding of application architecture and performance optimization
- Proficiency with build and development tools (Git, Maven/Gradle, Artifactory)
- Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL
- Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Ability to partner with multi-functional teams and pivot quickly
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new things
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- End-to-end testing knowledge (Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.)
- Exposure to third-party libraries (AG Grid, D3, etc.)
- Familiarity with design systems (UI components, animations/transitions, accessibility)
- Experience with public cloud computing
- Knowledge of syndicated loans or leveraged finance
- History of building enterprise application software within the financial domain
