Momence is a next-generation booking and communications platform for experience-based businesses including yoga studios, gyms, dance schools, salons, spas, and golf facilities. Originally backed by Y Combinator (Summer 2020), the company has grown to global presence and was recently acquired by Xplor.com, joining a family of companies covering eight industries in 72+ countries. Momence supports thousands of businesses with scheduling, payments, communications, marketing solutions, and backend automation, processing millions of payments monthly.
You will join the Scheduling Squad, one of the core teams responsible for classes, appointments, open spaces, and related functionality. The squad has six members including a Squad Lead and dedicated Principal PM, with a healthy mix of experienced team members and newer engineers. You'll work across both established platform areas and new greenfield projects, balancing improvements to existing systems with building new features.
The R&D team consists of nearly 40 people across Engineering, Product, UX/UI, and QA, organized into five lean autonomous squads. The company values ownership and trusts people to make impact early. New joiners typically ship impactful features within their first month, with proper onboarding and ramp-up support. You'll have freedom to shape how you work—whether focusing on code or getting involved in technical decisions and product discussions alongside your Squad Lead and PM.
The Prague-based team has flexibility: on-site, hybrid, or fully remote options. While Momence operates fully remotely elsewhere, the Prague office is located in the Karlín district.
Tech stack: TypeScript, Node, React, PostgreSQL. Tools: Slack, MS Suite, Clickup, Figma, Claude.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Engineer, working across frontend and backend technologies, including unit and end-to-end testing
- Strong product mindset
- Ability to solve complex technical challenges and confidently defend solutions in ambiguous situations
- Additional expertise in UX/design, security, or DevOps is a plus
- Based in Czech Republic with occasional visits to Prague office
- Passion for continuous learning, tinkering, and knowledge sharing
- Ability to adapt to existing environments and codebases quickly, follow established practices, and offer improvements
- Ability to leverage AI effectively while maintaining quality and understanding of solutions
