LaunchDarkly is a feature management and software delivery platform that helps engineering organizations ship software and AI with speed, safety, and control. The platform powers trillions of feature flag evaluations daily and is expanding into experimentation, observability, and AI-powered capabilities.
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will build customer-facing product experiences and the backend systems that support them. You will work across the application boundary—from intuitive, accessible interfaces to reliable services, APIs, and data flows—helping customers understand, configure, and control software delivery.
You will own features end-to-end, from discovery and design through implementation, launch, measurement, and iteration. This involves translating customer problems and product goals into thoughtful technical designs and incremental delivery plans. You'll partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and other engineering teams to make complex capabilities feel clear and useful while ensuring underlying systems are scalable, secure, and dependable.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and shipping end-to-end product capabilities across frontend and backend systems
- Developing user experiences using TypeScript and React, along with services and APIs using Go, Python, or comparable tools
- Owning features from discovery through iteration, balancing usability, performance, reliability, and time to value
- Writing readable, maintainable, well-tested code and contributing to shared engineering practices
- Improving observability, operational health, and system quality
- Participating in code reviews, technical discussions, incident response, and continuous improvement
The specific technical emphasis varies by opportunity—some teams prioritize backend depth, data-intensive applications, enterprise workflows, observability, experimentation, or AI-powered product experiences.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production software in a professional environment, or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Experience contributing across both frontend and backend layers, with willingness to work at the API boundary
- Experience with a backend language such as Go, Python, Rust, or equivalent (most teams use Go)
- Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React and a typed language such as TypeScript
- Experience designing or consuming APIs and working with backend services, data stores, or asynchronous systems
- Strong product instincts and ability to connect technical decisions to customer outcomes
- Clear communication and collaborative approach to working with engineers and cross-functional partners
- Commitment to quality, accessibility, maintainability, and continuous learning
